 Date/Time: Wednesday, May 22nd, 1-1:50 PM, Dr. Ciappetta

Topic/Skill: Speaking, Group 4 but Group 3 joined for a bit

Teacher Presentation:  Dr. Ciappetta had briefed them earlier on what they were doing so everyone had an expectation on what was on the agenda for today


Classroom Management: The classroom sort of managed itself as Dr. Ciappetta had already set the expectations in prior classes so the students were independent 

Materials: laptop


Student Participation: The Speaking class was a discussion led by one student and other students gave input and participated throughout 


Feedback Provided: Dr.Ciappetta was honestly very great with her feedback. She corrected students on their speech as well as speaking patterns but her corrections were very subtle and kept the discussion in the class very present. 


Lesson(s) on the teaching you learned: I learned a lot from this lesson. I thought the lesson itself was wonderful and Dr.Ciappetta's approach to it was great. It was largely independent but allowed students to improve their listening as well as speaking so I thought it was a great integrated lesson and something I genuinely want to use in the future. It was a great exercise to educate on American issues, topics, and ideas as well as strengthen core skills.
