Topic/Skill: Listening

Feedback provided to the tutee: Sixth session with Rosario. We focused on listening but less an academic sense and more in a personal sense. It was mainly conversation about our backgrounds and who we were as people as well as speaking about his classes and how he does in them. 

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Through this session,  I reaffirmed a lesson learned in Professor Kim's class: conversation is essential in bettering and understanding language. I could tell that speaking with me Rosario was getting better at understanding different speech rates and styles of speaking. It helped greatly in adjusting and getting used to differences of that nature.

Materials: Computer, google docs, WhatsApp  Student Participation: The students asked questions about the material  Feedback Provided: The teacher actively corrected the student assignments  Lesson(s) on teaching you learned: the process is slow and repetition is important with listening material
