Topic/Skill: Reading, Listening

Feedback provided to the tutee: This session was with Rosario. This was our last session before the TOEFL exam for Rosario. I mostly reassured him and refocused on the things he struggled with before. Corrected him on prior errors in passages.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Confidence is incredibly important. All of the CIES students and TOEFL are incredibly hardworking students and very capable. I think for students learning English seriously the confidence to mess up and try and try again is so very important. They have the skills and tools they just need to use them.
