Topic/Skill: reading comprehension and listening comprehension

Feedback provided to the tutee: Spoke with Dojun casually at the start of class. We then moved on to both a new video and an article for the day. 

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I was thinking of quintessential "American" culture points or landmarks that I could have Dojun learn about. What quickly popped into my head were our beautiful national parks. Today I had Dojun both read an article and watch a video about the history of national parks. I like this new idea I'm trying out, I have him watch and video on a topic and then we read an article on that exact same topic. This helps develop both listening and reading skills together in the same lesson. Plus, since the topic is the same for both the video and the article, this lesson helped with learning new vocabulary as well since both the video and article will have similar words.
