Topic/Skill: reading comprehension and listening comprehension

Feedback provided to the tutee: Provided correction when asked on both speaking and reading comprehension.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: For my tutoring sessions this week I was in Chicago at a conference with my mother. I had to do them both from my hotel room but this didn't really have any impact on my lessons. Because I was in Chicago, I used a topical article about the WNBA and race relations between some of their new rookie players. I've decided that topical articles when they relate to you or your tutee are best as they generate more interest and conversation which in turn leads to more English language learning.
