Topic/Skill: Listening/Transcription - Group 2/3

Teacher Presentation: Ryan began with talking about the class agenda. Next, he explained the transcription exercise before asking them to do it. The audio samples where all 

Classroom Management: Ryan played each audio sample several times before asking the students to read their transcription for the class.

Materials: PowerPoint with audio samples, whiteboard, small whiteboard.

Student Participation: Everyone was asked to perform the transcription exercises. Additionally, they were asked to ask for spelling answers with the correct format. 

Feedback Provided: He provided feedback for spelling questions/errors and also incorrect transcriptions. 

Lesson(s) on teaching you learned: I thought it was great how the Ryan found and used interesting audio samples pertinent in today's world. Additionally, Ryan was very clear on how he expected each student to ask proper questions about spelling or word definitions. It was very educational to watch and see how Ryan supported the students while still allowing them control over their learning.
